Patiently pursue your god given vision.
“You can’t vicariously live through someone else’s vision. You must live in God’s vision for you.”
Definitions
God Vision - A vision, burden, desire, absolutely rooted in the divine character and plans of God as revealed in His most Holy Scriptures
Example: A Desire To become…a medical doctor, to become a mother, to become a missionary, to become a monk, to become a mechanic, to become a musciion, to become a masterchef. Every such occupation - from motherhood to mechanic - can be birthed out of a God Vision.
Some God visions are Gospel desires. I am writing specifically from the perspective of such.
I am referring to a God Vision, not a carnal vision. Though, carnal vision might be good, I am specifically addressing a God Vision (a Gospel Desire).
This is what I undeniably heard tonight. Now my walk with God is often in the form of a life coach; spurring me into hard things I would not otherwise do apart from burden. Graduate school? I’m not a passionate reader or studier. I’d rather be in the arena how I define it. But I love Jesus and am willing to do anything as long as I know it’s Him. So He gives me burdens. But to fight unprepared is an embarrassment to the King. Notice how the Lord works with you; it’s specific. It’s intentional. It’s real. God is more real to me than the carnality of human wisdom, because He is my reality. Please, do not pass this statement by. I am filled with joy to admit I am quite serious!
So, I was challenged but invigorated when I heard I can not live vicariously through someone else’s vision. Lord, you’re really taking me down a long road? Wow, what an honor and what an absolute time of growing pains I shall endure. Some of you are medical students, some are masters students, some are missionaries — all are in a race that matters profoundly.
To the med student, masters student, missionary or layman, God’s vision must be lived through your life. If it’s a long road ahead, don’t worry.
Be faithful, and patiently pursue the God Vision with all you have.
Now, you’re much better off reading the inspired word of God than my thoughts. This is me suggesting you to do just that. But, I hope this was an encouragement or edification.
